Asif joined the Chambers of Sir Hamid Moollan KC since September 2011. His practice involves criminal, civil, family, employment and commercial matters. He is well experienced in Court litigation (both civil and criminal) as he regularly appears before all courts and tribunals in Mauritius. He has successfully conducted a number of complex personal injury and road accident cases at different levels, be it enquiry stage or in court and appeared in high profile cases as part of a legal team.

He acts as legal adviser of a small hotel group as well as one of the largest carton manufacturing business in Mauritius. He is also regularly solicited for his advice with one of the largest Insurance Companies in Mauritius.

Asif was chosen as a member of the Mauritius Young Bar Committee for the year 2016-2017.

EDUCATION

Asif Moollan completed his LLB with Honours at the University of Birmingham, UK in 2009. He thereafter completed his Bar Vocational Course in 2010 and obtained his Postgraduate Diploma at the University of West of England in Bristol, UK.

He was called to the English Bar in July 2010 and to the Mauritian Bar in September 2011.
