Jennifer has a broad civil practice with a particular emphasis on commercial litigation and arbitration. She has appeared before all courts of Mauritius including the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council where she appeared in the cases of Toumany v Veerasamy [2012] UKPC 13 and CIEL Ltd v Central Water Authority [2022] UKPC 2. She has also appeared in both domestic and international arbitrations.
Jennifer is currently advising a public company on all commercial legal matters. She also advises construction companies in respect of all matters arising out of construction law. She regularly assists clients in various regulatory matters including competition issues before the Competition Commission.
EDUCATION
Jennifer joined the Chambers of Sir Hamid Moollan KC in 2010 after being called to the Bar in Mauritius and in England at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. She read law in England and France and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Kent, a Licence en Droit et Sciences Politiques from Université Paris X and an LLM in Professional Legal Skills from City University London.
