Yusuf specialises in civil and commercial matters and has appeared before all the courts in Mauritius.

He is the Chairman of the Electoral Supervisory Commission and Electoral Boundaries Commission, a former Chairman of the Bar Council of Mauritius and a former Member of the Law Reform Commission, the National Economic and Social Council, and of the Compliance and Enforcement sub-committee of the National Corporate Governance Committee.

EDUCATION
Yusuf holds a BA (Hons) degree in Economics. He was called to the Bar in England in 1971 and in Mauritius in 1972 and was elevated to the rank of Senior Counsel in 2003.
