Shaheena has been practising before the courts and tribunals in Mauritius regularly dealing with briefs which require a specialised knowledge of the law pertaining to civil, family, property, insurance, landlord/tenant, insolvency, commercial, labour, tax, trust, maritime, administrative law, intellectual property, environmental, international matters in relation to domestic cases and arbitration. She has acted in arbitration matters and undertaken legal due diligence exercises.

Shaheena has been regularly advising multinationals, banks and financial institutions in a variety of corporate matters in connection with various types of structured financing and tax planning using Mauritius vehicles, collective investment schemes including the negotiation and drafting of Private Placement Memorandum, subscription agreements, management agreements, custodian agreement, shareholders agreements and other transaction documents and listings, share dealings and offerings on and off the market. She is the legal adviser to several Global Business Companies.

EDUCATION
A State of Mauritius Laureate in 1995, Shaheena read law in Australia and topped the bar vocational examinations held in Mauritius. Shaheena was called to the Mauritian Bar in 2003.
